James LeBlond
Since 1997, James LeBlond has been advising clients on investment and insurance strategies. His focus started with individual clients, but he began to study strategies that would effectively help the needs of small business owners and entrepreneurs through retirement plans, succession planning and business continuity. In 2000, he began working in Massachusetts where he began adapting to new tax laws and income strategies, along with having gained deeper knowledge of business strategies through an Advanced Corporate Markets Forum in Denver, Colorado in June of '04. He was the only one of his firm sent to this event. In September 2005, James realized his dreams of self-employment when he opened his own practice, named "LeBlond Financial". Realizing he wanted more out of his business model, James made a wise business decision to affiliate with Northeast Planning Associates (NPA) in May 2009, with a goal of maintaining his autonomy while adding the strength of a proven supporter for family-oriented Financial Professionals. He is proudly the third generation of his family to be self-employed, with his grandfather opening his own business back in 1946. James currently holds his Series 7 & Series 24 licenses with LPL Financial, and his Series 65 license with NPA in a variety of states, predominantly serving the ME, NH and North Shore of MA. He has complete his courses at Boston University's Institute of Finance, and is now eligible to sit for the exams to earn the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. James is a longtime volunteer in the La Kermesse Franco-American festival. He is also a former Police Commissioner for the Biddeford Police Department (1998-2001). James served a three year term on the Biddeford-Saco Chamber of Commerce (2012-2014). He has been actively involved in several business networking groups in York and Cumberland County. James resides in Biddeford, Maine with his wife Tanya. He is a proud Daddy of five children. He enjoys playing golf and shooting hoops, and watching hockey, baseball and football. He is an avid New England sports fan, devoted to the four major teams of the area. He had played in the Southern Maine Men’s Baseball Association for several years, hoping to play again someday, but proudly devotes his time to family activities and working in the garden. | ![]() |
